PARL Artist Residency
Performance Art Research Ljubljana · 2025

An intensive residency developing Breeze through subtle relations between body, material objects, environmental forces, and collective reflection.
The PARL (Performance Art Research Ljubljana) residency provided an intensive environment for expanding my choreographic research through daily studio practice, critical dialogue, and collective reflection. The residency encouraged a process of experimentation in which performance was understood not as a finished product, but as an evolving field of inquiry.
During the residency, I continued developing Breeze, investigating how attention emerges through subtle relations between the body, material objects, and environmental forces. Working with fans, fabric, and states of stillness, I explored how choreography could unfold from sensory perception rather than predetermined movement. Daily feedback sessions with artists and mentors challenged the work conceptually and encouraged me to refine the relationship between movement, installation, and participatory performance.
Beyond the studio, the residency fostered a generous international community of artists working across contemporary dance, devised theatre, and interdisciplinary performance. Informal conversations, shared practices, and the exchange of diverse artistic approaches became an essential part of the research, reinforcing the value of choreography as a collaborative and relational practice.
