Performance
Once Upon a Time
Solo dance performance · 2019

An intimate solo built around a red football, travelling between somatic focus, camp disco, and audience encounter.
Once Upon a Time is a solo dance performance combining embodied movement with spatial-memory approaches informed by somaesthetic research. The performance explores the duality of adulthood and childhood through biographical narrative.
"When it's not on us, Attila Andrási's intense focus rests on a red football centre stage. A symbol of his childhood, it means more to him than we can imagine. Andrási dedicates his luscious moves to this object as he transitions between different, emotionally charged choreographic states."
